Rodger V. Hunter was born and raised in Southern California. He joined the Navy in 1975. His first duty station, USS New Orleans (LPH-11) served to evacuate Americans after the fall of Saigon, Viet Nam. Receiving a Meritorious Advancement to ABF2, PO Hunter re-enlisted for orders to Rota, Spain.

Upon returning to San Diego, extending enlistment, and converting his specialty to Navy Counselor, NC1 Hunter was assigned to the USS Barbey (FF-1088) as the enlisted Career Counselor and Retention specialist.

Petty Officer Hunter also served as a Naval Reserve Recruiter at the Naval Air Station, North Island, Coronado, CA.

Rodger Hunter was Honorably Discharged in December 1986 and has since owned several successful businesses. He currently works with volunteers on various political projects which focus on Constitutional principles.
