Free Republic has been active in politics and fighting against illegal government expansion and corruption since 1996. Some of the highlights of Free Republic include our March for Justice in 1998 where several thousand of us rallied with Congressman Bob Barr in Washington, D.C. and called for the impeachment of President William Jefferson Clinton. Free Republic was also instrumental in the "Sore Loserman" campaign to prevent Al Gore from stealing the Whitehouse. Free Republic has sponsored protests and rallies in hundreds of cities across the nation, protesting against political corruption and abuse, and, since September 11th, rallying in support of President Bush and our troops.
